Giving TributeA Poem by Dylan S.
Where will the stories be,
in the years to come? Is it really up to us, the authors who love to spin a tale? Is it up to the artist, whose hand dances with the brush? Is it up to the singer, whose voice carries in the wind? Is it up to the dancers, those pretending to be energetic nymphs? Preservation is a two-way road. It is not just us who draws from inspiration, but the men and women who love to use the senses. Such is the relationship of man and woman making life, it is the creator of such work, and the foreign senses to behold it, that makes work such a thing to behold. Only then can a memory be made. Only then can scripture live. Only then can pictures breathe. Only then are chords bleeding. And only then can a dance be worthy. So, if you wish to preserve, in a land that forgets to preserve, use your senses more than your hands. Pay homage to those artists of old, whether they are dancers of love, or generals of war. Keep history alive, and maybe then, the importance of preservation will be recognized.
