CloudsA Poem by RachaelI wrote this, sat on the beach, watching thunderous clouds rolling in..Clouds floating on an endless journey, Ominous at the edges, rolling, colliding, Soundless clashes, lost in the expanse, Weighed down, searching, A delusion, tangled and heavy, It pours down into the depths.
Rain will come, the sky powerful and undone, Single, alone, each drop burns the skin, Rain will come to wash away, head tilted, Wanting, searching to become whole once more, Rain will come, purge its soul.
The silence before the storm, Then a crescendo of sound, loud, Echoing a patience worn thin, A challenging fight, power and pressure, Frustration, striking to find a middle ground, Cloud’s, they've had it with each other.
The wind will come, strong, soaring, Willing to move the storm along, Wind will come, the clouds move on, Call a truce, head for light, Wind will come, searching for the sun.
Transparent and blue, it breaks through, An ocean of calm, reflecting, Clarity, clearness, a gaze of wonder, Warming, alive, the distant sound echoing along the bay, Waves gently lapping the shore, Easy, it has done this before.
The sun will come to clear the sky, Remembering days of endless wonder, The sun will come to bring a brighter day, Gazing up, the warmth of a smile, The sun will come; remind you, it's worthwhile. © 2013 Rachael |
