Luminous Veil

Luminous Veil

A Poem by QuietSeer

Sometimes I am fixated on the patterns in the sky.
But when I point them out.
The lady in black
shakes her head.

Sometimes I am fascinated by the energies surrounding people.
But when I stare for too long.
The lady in black
pats my back.

Sometimes it seems that people ramble on forever.
But when I drift off during conversation,
The lady in black
pulls me back.

But as soon as I try to change myself,
in order to be understood.
The lady in black
looses all respect
and finally cracks.
