Theses Tears

Theses Tears

A Poem by QuietPoet

Theses Tears

Theses tears falling from my eyes

Tonight they feel different

They have meaning

With every drop

My heart keeps breaking

With every breath I take

I just can’t sleep through the pain

Anymore, I’m suffocating

I can’t erase the memories of you

When I try so hard, so very hard

And every time I think

I break so much more

Every single person that

Has shredded this heart

I’ve tried to forget it all

But its glued to me

I try not to be a broken angel

But my wings have just fallen apart

I can’t fly anymore

No matter how much I try

Sometimes I can’t look

Into my mother’s eyes

Because I feel so ashamed

If she only knew..

The feeling of keeping

Things from you

Is like stabbing me

Into a millions of pieces

My past is so black

I can’t change any of it

I was let down, beaten,

Hurt, fell, then left behind

I lay in my bed at night

I think of everything in my life

And I just can’t hold theses tears

While I make everyone believe I’m happy..

WoW !!! Another intense piece of writing !!!

Sometimes we can't keep the pain inside any longer . . .
The floodgates have to be opened . . .
Like a raging river must consume what it will . . .
There's no stopping it . . .

"I lay in my bed at night
I think of everything in my life
And I just can’t hold theses tears
While I make everyone believe I’m happy.."

Well said indeed !!

there are two windows we look out from our room as time goes on. One is the past and one is the future. I thought about those two windows just yesterday.

Oh! This was very beautifully penned, a very heartfelt and emotional piece of writing..
"My past is so black
I can’t change any of it" - Loved these lines a lot, great work here!

Those emotional scars never go away but you can do things to eventually cover them.

Very emotional and sad, but you need to know that this is going to make you stronger and Metamorphosis in to someone even more complete (I know it does not seem like it now).
But hay what do I know?
Keep writing, well done.

sometimes life behaves in a brutal manner and we start wondering if this is the life that they say is to be cherished .. the biggest of scars are given by those who are the closest to us , who matter the most to us .. if they can do so then what remains to be expected from others ... life is certainly not a bed of roses ; but is it meant to be a bed of thorns only ??

your words aptly portrayed my emotions .. thanks for sharing

I can relate to this one too. Some times it hurts to keep secrets from people or not to tell them. Then you feel ashamed to be by that person because you feel so horrible about yourself. All you can really do at that time is cry your soul out. That will really make you feel better. That's what im getting from this poem. Wonderful write, friend.

I can completely relate to the last stanza of this one. Hiding the pain behind a smile. Lots of sentiment in this poem. Very nice job.

The tears mean we are still alive and we need time to heal. A excellent poem. I could feel the emotion of sadness in your words. Last line is true for many in a life. We still must go on.
