This poem is mixed with each friendship ive had and the ones ive seen torn. Lately its all ive seen, but I added good friendship in there too. Enjoy

Friendship

How do you describe friendship

Love? Betrayal? Caring? There for you?

Lately I’ve been getting betrayal

And its what I’ve been seeing

 

You try to ease your way back in

Asking me how my life is

Telling me about things in yours

Honestly, I don’t care anymore

 

I see you every weekend

We still don’t talk

And I want to keep it that way

I can fool you easily

 

You broke her heart

What do you both expect

She’s slowly fading

Why is it so hard to see..

 

Years later and she’s still hurting

I can see right through her

She says she wants out

But I know deep down she doesn’t

 

Why do you pick him over anything

We are your family

It would be nice for you

To stick up for us once in awhile

 

I have to be honest

I still hate you for what you did

You tore her heart out

And stomp on it every chance you get

 

You were pouring your heart out

All I could do was listen

As your tears hit the floor

You’re my sister, I love you

 

When you told me

How much you miss and love me

My heart about died

As the tears just flowed out

 

I miss you so much it hurts

Thinking back of all the memories

Your always going to be

My best friend, forever

 

Friendships are like relationships

We can get hurt just as easy

But sometimes when a relationship fails

You can count on your closest friendships

I think this is probably why my brothers didn't want me to date their friends. When two people that you care about go through hard times, it can put you in an awkward position. I enjoyed reading this.

The thing is that once you've invested emotions, it hurts forever... only that as time goes by, you become less attached the pain. And eventually it becomes more of a nuance than pain. But in the end... it will always hurt in some form or fashion... Outstanding.
