Loss In HaitiA Poem by QuietPoetLoss In Haiti I was watching a video About what happened in Haiti And it looks like something else hit Than a earthquake
They showed a little boy He had a hole in his chest Screaming in pain Under a tent
A mother and father Had a new born baby A US military doctor Delivered it for them
Lost lives, gain life Learning from others Walking as if nothing happened Still smiling and laughing
Haitians have a way about them Its not the end of the world They feel for their people And their doing what they can
Food and water are hard to find I see all the food we waste everyday Why not send it to them? They need it more than us
We lost a lot of hearts that day And they continue to drop Houses and places destroyed Cleaning up the mess
People have been donating Its helps, but it doesn’t bring back the lives Americans see a disaster And we run to it
Dear God We are sending prayers your way More than usual So here us today © 2010 QuietPoetReviews
