I Miss Everyone

I Miss Everyone

A Poem by QuietPoet

Do you remember when
We first met, we didn’t talk much
But we would sit next to each other
Then one day you invited me over
And ever since then we were best friends

Do you remember when
We drove to school everyday
And the days we spend shopping
The times we were there for each other
And when we laughed our asses off

Do you remember when
We were at the mall
And those kids were making fun of you
I stood up to them
And we laughed about it for days

Do you remember when
You drove all the way over to my house
Just to hang out with me
You took me out to lunch
And we talked for hours about life

Do you remember when
It was the last day of school
And you wrote on my jacket
To keep this family together
I’m sorry I failed terribly..

I remember when we all saw each other everyday
If we were in a bad mood,
We always knew how to cheer us up
We always left with a smile
But now its not the same

Do you remember when
We became friends
The friendship grows each day
The day I told you I love you
I meant every word and so did you

I’m trying so hard to be strong
But I can’t when your there
With all the holiday’s coming up
And you missing my birthday
Just brings tears to my eyes

I miss everyone
We all live different lives
All I want is to see you
Just one day would be fine
And I wouldn’t miss you this much..

I like this. I miss so many and so much that it pains me sometimes. I loved the imgagery in this. You poured your heart out on this one.

I feel you on this one. Oh, the things I wish to be, again. It is only in hind sight that we truly have 20/20 vision. It is up to us to treat each moment as though it its the last, and not take things for granted. It is nearly impossible to maintain that at all times. It is a discipline appreciating things for what they are worth. We as human beings have a natural "me" factor. That, by nature, interferes with our ability to appreciate in it's full capacity. I have been extremely blessed in life to have many real true good friends. A person is lucky, fortunate, and blessed to have one or two in a lifetime. Most of mine are gone for good. I did appreciate them, but I did take things for granted. I have many wonderful memories...I wish they were here.
