Anyone’s Embrace
I lay in my bed at night
I can’t help but feel
That there is something missing
I hate having to search for
That one piece of my heart
That’s always been lost
Its never been found
I hug my pillow
With my legs close to my chest
Wishing someone would
Crawl right up next to me
Hold me until dawn
And be there at the end of the day
I picture it in my mind way too well
Its so perfect in so many ways
One single tear falls from my eye
Hoping someone comes a long
And wipes it away with their embrace..
I lay in my bed at night
Staring up at the ceiling
Imagining the life I would love..
