Grandma Nellie

Grandma Nellie

A Poem by QuietPoet
"

This time is an emotional and happy moment in my families and I lives. But I know she would want us to celebrate this with my dad.

"

Grandma Nellie
I took an extra look at the sky today
Just for my Grandma Nellie
Today was her Birthday
And passed away June 10th 2004
She was the type of Grandma
Where she baked goodies,
Did puzzles for a hobby,
Was a big Cubs fan,
And loved her family so much
Even if they didn’t get along
The day she passed,
Was the day the sun didn’t shine,
The clouds cried and so did we.
Around this time of year
I watch my dad get emotional
But he never tells his feelings
I would never judge him if he did so
My dad will be honored on June 9th 2009
For winning Driver Of The Year
Deep in my heart I truly believe
That Nellie had something to do with him winning
She watches over us, she is our Angel
And I will never forget her.
