Sinking

Sinking

A Poem by QuietPoet
"

I can't help but feel I wanted more than this..

"

Sinking

You caught me staring
At nothing again
You saw the same look
Where I wasn’t happy..

In the beginning,
I didn’t think it
Would have been this hard
There’s no easy way out..

The tears haven’t stopped
The pain goes deep
The disappointment is alive
And the heart beat has died..

I lay my head at night
And gaze up at the ceiling
Wondering when will it be my time
And how did I let this happen..

I caught myself looking
In the mirror again,
All my thoughts were
I can’t believe this..
