You Don’t Know Me
I hate when people think
They know who I am
And how I live my life
Yeah, I live at home
But what makes you think
My parents support me
I pay my own bills every month
They give me love each day
And that’s all they ever need to give me
I struggle day after day trying to live
And the only thing that gets me by
Is my family being behind me
People say that “I’m innocent
But I am not that innocent”
You do NOT know me
You don’t know what I’ve been through
Or what I’ve done in my past
I am innocent , very.
I’ve done some things I’m not so proud of
And I’ve made mistakes
And I’ve learned from them
So don’t act like you know
Who I am and what I’m about
When you have no idea..

There are very few people we can say "I know that person". We are all so different with different life styles. You described this very well, we don't know who "the" person really is, and we should never judge "them". Nice write.

Wow.. powerful truth flowing with anger and sadness ringing pretty clear! This is quite understandable.. no one likes to be judged and many times that judgment forms rumours as well as so many great imaginations out there are so inclined to do! I try my best not to quickly judge someone as quite often that cover is totally wrong.. and you can't judge someone unless you've walked in their shoes.. literally as them... impossible so as much as we wish this didn't exist .. the only thing you can do is stand your ground and shrug off comments. Most likely if you live at home.. they assume many things.. and are also most likely jealousas through those assumptions they believe there could be a few perks there too that they don't have like laundry getting done.. meals cooked for you.. even though that might not be the case!!! Great rant and in these expensive times I am certain that many will try to return home to save money or pay off bills or through losses of employment.. so this may become more common-place soon I would imagine.. I know many who have... thank you for sharing! =)
