Yes, Snow in Vegas... Its amazing! =)

 

Snow In Vegas
I seen little flurries fall from the sky,
I didn’t think much of it
Until it began to come down harder
I called my dad to make sure he was alright
Then my mom calls to see if its snowing at our house
As the hours went by the snow began to stick
To the grass, trees, cars, streets, and houses..
I was home alone while all this was happening
As I was staring at the snow,
I put all my worries and concerns
Behind my heart and just admired the beauty
Of the white perfection that falls from our Vegas sky..
My dad finally gets home,
He was terrified of me driving to work in this,
He offered to drive me and come pick me up,
But I assured him that I would be fine
I didn’t want to risk his life
When he is safe at home..
I’ve never driven in snow before
I did good, I was fully aware, watching all around me
And I went SLOW.
I make it to work,
We were all looking outside at the snow
My boss finally closed,
I was there for an hour and a half..
Now I’m stuck in traffic,
Everyone freaking out, trying to get home,
Driving carefully, and going slow..
I saw cars getting stuck
Run off the road,
Broke down right in the middle of the street..
My best friend calls me to see if I was alright,
My dad calls after him,
Then my boyfriend..
I get home and watched the news,
The airport is closed, all flights cancelled.
All planes that planned to land today
Landed in other states..
Vegas never gets this much snow
We weren’t prepared,
I seen a snowplow for the first time in my life!
Its suppose to continue till tomorrow..
It snowed in Vegas!
And we still can’t believe it…

LOL! Yeah, imagine the shock of getting snow in southern california. I lived there most of my life and it snowed twice. That was a freak of nature.

Snow is beautiful for a little while, and i can lose myself in watching it fall just like you did. But white becomes a very boring color after a good ammount of time. How long did it last in Vegas, it is still here in Carson.

lol, Yes, snow is very beautiful :). Though I live in a state where snow and ice are common this time of year, it still amazes me every time I see it. I only noticed one error. Enjoy the snow! (if you havnt yet, graba handful..its very strange! lol)
