This one is about my brother and how he acts to my family...

Beaten Heart

My heart feels like bursting

When I see you take it out on them

They don’t deserve those words

That you shout from your mouth

They have given their all to make YOU happy

What about them?

What have you given them in return?

Nothing.

Absolutely NOTHING.

But pain and suffer..

Do you have a heart at all?

You have hurt this family for too long

No one can stop you

One day I will..

We will watch you,

When you are on your feet

Begging for our forgiveness

I don’t know about the rest of them

But I know I will just walk away

And never look back

For what you have done,

There is no way to forgive..

Because you have beaten my heart

And left it bleeding on the floor….

We all have those family members that we wish would wake up. In my case it is just like yours. My brother.
He hasn't had reality smack him in the face yet and even though he is 24 years old he still acts like he is 18. I feel your pain and I feel your longing as well.

Awe honey, I'm sorry that you've experienced that kind of pain. Especially at the hands of a family member. That makes if all the more painful. You just keep doing the right thing for your family and your mom and dad and time will heal your wouds. Maybe one day your brother will be in a place where he can ready this and see how much he has hurt all of you. Good to put it into words instead of keeping it all inside. Good job!

I have had a similar run in with my sister but although she does things we may not agree on she's still my sister and no matter how far she pushes me away, I'm gonna love her!
