we did it with all of our hearts in it..

 

College Graduation

I awoke with a big smile on my face

Knowing that it was the big day

Ironing my Chef Jacket and Neckerchief

Just like I did the first day I started

Doing my hair, putting makeup on and dressed nicely

Left my boyfriend with my lovely family

Went to pick up my best friend

That I haven’t seen in 4 months..

Seeing all of my friends that I love dearly

Getting ready to walk the stage with my fellow classmates

My family, friends, and my love in the crowd

Waiting to scream for me when I walk on stage..

The moment I have waited for

Arrived that afternoon

If I could do the whole 15 months again,

I would in a heart beat

We tried so hard to get where we are..

Finding every reason to quit,

But we caught ourselves in every turn

Fighting for what we want

Living each moment

Cherishing the love we shared

Having the best support from our Chefs

Guiding us through with their talents

Caring so much about what we do

Wanting us to keep in touch

Because they love us all..

Then the hardest part came..

I had to say goodbye again…

The worse feeling in the world for my heart

I have no idea when I will see my best friends again

Some I will never see again..

But we all will be great

I just know it..

Our lives have begun.

We did it.
