Mystery

Have you ever wanted to know

What goes on in people’s lives

How they are making it each day

What goes on outside of work, school, or home

I work with a 30 year old woman

And her mother works there too

Between the two of them

There is these secrets

And mystery behind them

That I die to know

Why was she living on her own at 17..

Where was her mom?

Why is her dad living with her and not her mom..

What happened to her family

Why doesn’t she have a husband with kids

Have a home and a family of her own…

Her life seems like there is so much to it

She talks about her past here and there

Leaving me wonder what really happened

All I know she was involved in drugs..

And it seemed to mess her life up

Working at subway for 15 years

Now working at where I work..

She works so hard for these people

And we both get treated like crap

Because we are woman…

Its just wrong..

She seems to have dreams,

Told me she wanted to go to college

Her life isn’t over

And I am going to keep a hold of her number

Make her apart of my business someday

And get her out of the situations she has been in..

Sometimes we always wonder, but will never know

What really goes on in people’s life

No matter how much we want to know..

If people want to tell, they will..

I really like this one. I work in a pharmacy, and I see lots of people eveyrday, and I get to know their names and stuff. But I'll never really know them. I'd love to know their lives - everyone is so interesting and unique. Now I'm sad, somehow.

I think everyones life is a mystery that can be translated into a poem, short story or novel. Just remember babe you can't save the world by yourself and be careful. We don't want to read some what ifs, how come and why poems by you. -smile- Great job.

This shows how big your heart is. Caring so much for others and where they have been and where they are going. Bravo.

One of those mysteries of life. the lives of others that we know barely always mystify us the most. I have a few co-workers like that and I always want to know more. This is how most of us feel at one time or another.

good job.

So true! We don't know what others lives are like unless we live it but that doesn't mean we won't know anything about it. A person can't help or give their decision on a subject that is nonexistent. Everyone's a little curious every now and then, it's human nature and if they are willing to listen and you got something to share...why not.

:) Nice write!

You are right my friend, we can only know what people want us to know, there arealways secrets we will never know, or we will never tell. Thats how life is, you ofer your help and you just need to wait, sometimes your help would be accepted and sometimes you will be reject, what is important that you ofer it, its what make us good people. humans .... Thanks for your thoughts , enjoy your weekend Yossi

So true. There is always a secret to be found in everybody. Even if you think you know someone completly there is always that unexplored area where the secret to their endurence lies..I find it horrible that the both of you are treated the way you are because you are women, and I am sure that she appriciates you being there. You have to be a lot more pleasant to work with than some..your friendship may mean more to her than you realize. Keep on writing..
