I love him, but I'm alone...

Alone

I’ve been so tired lately

I stay up so late

Dreading going to bed

Because I will be alone

I hate the space that is left

I have tons of people that love me

But when I go to sleep

No one is there beside me

I told this to the man I love

He called me right back

And said that I am not alone

But it hurts knowing he is there

He’s alone, I’m alone

When we are meant to be

But these walls around us

Block us from being together

Nothing can take the love we share

I’ve never met someone that cares so much

And says the nicest things

That a girl loves to hear

On Oct 24^th, I will be in his arms

But till then I am still alone

And how will I ever let him go back home…

Loneliness is a demon we have all battled. I feel at times I am betrothed to this despicable state. It seems like so much time has gone by that I don't even get sad about it anymore. growing up i slept every night with my dog in my bed.. i never really knew how lonely sleeping alone was till later in life.. and it's definately leaves a hollow feeling, but all you can really do is cherish the nights you spend with that special someone and hold on to 'next time' when they are not with you.. great write
