Different Girl

Different Girl

Different Girl

I looked into the mirror today

I used to see someone that I did not know

Someone that was lost and broken

All her insides just draining out of her

The pain flowing through her veins

The girl that let a man take over her

Today I saw a different person

The goofy, funny, and silly girl

The one that loves to smile

Nothing should ever take that from me..

Especially him, the one that wanted to see me hurt

And if they ask me about you

I will pretend I don’t even know your name

Because I’m a different girl

I will not let him defeat me

I’m the girl that smiles at whatever is brought to her

The girl that is strong,

Even when everything is wrong..

I’m a different girl.

That-a-girl!! That't what I want to hear from you!! That is the girl that you need to embrace. You can do it, I know you can and I am rooting for you!
