RIP Nick Faher... It took me this long to write about it... And tears still fall.

 

Nov 27^th, 2007

I put in an old CD today

Turned it to the sad song that

Brought the memories back to life..

On Nov 27^th there was a terrible accident..

An 18 year old kid decided that he wanted to race that morning..

The story was he hit something in the road

His car flipped over twice..

His body was flown from the car

And died instantly at the scene..

My ex best friend and I were driving

And got the word that he has passed away

It was a shock to all of us..

I didn’t know him too well

But I hung out with him a couple times

I attended the funeral , so did hundreds of people..

He was a nice and talented kid..

Had so many dreams and a life ahead of him

We all wished we were in the car with him

Just so we could stop him somehow…

A couple nights after the accident

My ex best friend and I were standing outside

I was the only one that cared the she was a mess

She needed someone there for her and it was me

We looked into the sky that night

We saw a smile in the clouds

Everyone thought we were crazy

But we knew what we saw

It was like he was telling us that he is in a good place

To wipe our tears away and live in piece

He could never be forgotten

I think about him every single day..

Nov 27^th is coming up soon

That day will be a sad day for the world..

Even for me..

people shouldn't risk their lives like that, they shouldn't drive like that. Life is so precious, you can't waste it. everyday is a blessing. :)
but i think you wrote it really well. you emotions and i like the ending about the stars.

My heart aches for you dear friend. This piece gives validity to the scripture that says no man knows the hour nor the day. Since my loss of friends I have come to appreciate each day I make it through this life safely. A wonderful tribute. Keep your head up...
