I Couldn’t Say..

I forgot how to breathe

I felt like my heart was going to burst

So much happened and it was out of my control

Why did this have to come to me..

I couldn’t wait to talk to you

Because you make me forget everything

You distract my mind from my world

When every bit of it is crashing..

How can so much come out in one day?

I wasn’t ready for the 3 letter word

But don’t beat yourself up about it

You felt like you needed to say it

Which its okay that you did

I just wasn’t ready for it

And I couldn’t say the words back

I don’t want to hurt you

I’m trying to recover from my past

You didn’t make me cry…

My past and me made tears come down

And that I couldn’t say…

Just let me have time

And maybe one day

I will say….
