You Saw Me

You Saw Me

A Poem by QuietPoet

You Saw Me

Look at me
What is it you see?

A smile that is a fake

Underneath it I’m broken

My beauty isn’t what I wanted to hear

I wanted to see if you knew I’m hurting

But you are focused on my face and nothing else

Just like he was..

Then came him

The one that saw passed my smile

And you saw me…

It's so to find a real friend that knows how ur feeling when no one else does.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to a collective few its not just the skin that is beautiful, but what lies beneath it. Your writing certainly reflects that. Congratulations on another winner..
