Falling Into Fear

Falling Into Fear

A Poem by QuietPoet

Falling Into Fear

I lay with this pain still in my heart

Forgetting the past is harder than I thought

It’s like something ripped me apart

And the wounds still remain opened

They are fresh and deep

All the blood pours out of me

Leaving me to shed my tears

Trying to fight what has become of me

Thinking I am the care in the world

But I am broken and scared

Letting no one close to me

That way I can’t get destroyed again

I was tricked and lied to, repeatedly

Anyone can make me a believer

The trust I hold is what is real in me

The things that have been said

Have been told to me before

It was just lie after lie, killing my insides

I’m in the same boat as him

When is the day we are set free, together

Leaving all of them behind, running from their hurt

Nothing but the memories locked in our minds

For you to steal the only thing that was mine

Is what fills me with regrets

And leaves me falling into fear…

This is a great powerful poem. It felt like i was really reading you mind, so much thought and such a strong poem. I love it. I love all of your poems, because you make it's like i'm listening to inside of you, which is so cool and wonderful to read. It's also really sad, and the beginning was very painful, and the way you used like wounds, blood, fresh, to talk about your feelings was also very different and so unique. I really like this poem, i think you did a fabulous job. :)
My favourite lines:
Anyone can make me a believer
The trust I hold is what is real in me

I like these a lot because the way you say these lines are very different, and makes you think harder, like a challenge, I loved studying the poem, because it was soooo good. :)
I wish I could give you more then 100/100. Haha. WONDERFUL.

It is never easy to recover from broken promises and deciet, but you don't have to give into fear. Everything gets better, and the fact that you are in the boat with someone else proves that you don't have to do it alone. Hang on to the other person in the boat. You're going to make it!

This poem proved that one can mix pain, anger, and fears together and make a beautiful cerebral painting!

I really like this, i can feel the pain in it. the line "leaving me in my shreds of tears" is kinda confusing to me. I would suggest "leaving me to shed my tears"? It's very good, written very well :)
