In Your Arms

In Your Arms

A Poem by QuietPoet
"

Last night was incredible. What love can do to a person is what I am scared of..

"

In Your Arms

The night was warm

You came and picked me up

And it all started with dinner

We went to your place

Watching a movie on your comfortable bed

We would get close together so we can touch

The movie was over and your legs were on mine

I was laying there and you grabbed my hand

And you let me fall into your arms

Your brother walked in

We both scattered away

Instantly when he left

You came back to me and kissed my lips

My heart about melted all over you

You’re the only one that can make me feel alive

It was our first time laying with each other

And it felt so right

When I am in your arms

I feel protected

Where no one can hurt me

The touch of your skin drives me crazy

The taste of your lips drives me insane

I rested my head on your chest

And I heard your heart beating fast

It was a lullaby to my ears

And it was the best beat I have ever heard

Then I looked at the clock

It was getting late and you didn’t want me to go

Because you wanted me to stay locked in your arms

You walked me outside to my car

And you opened your arms wide

My body fell into yours

You looked me into my eyes

And kissed me goodnight
