Raindrops

Raindrops

A Poem by Querida

blessed raindrops

how gently they fall

smacking lightly

against the glass

of my window

they appear out of dusk

out of dark

out of light

but they are so gentle

so loving

i dream of raindrops

gently falling

of puddle-jumping

of wet grass

of dark clouds

but, alas

it's only a cloudburst

soon to revert

to blue skies

goodbye, blessed raindrops

how gently they stop.
