Things I have learned this play season.
- Oppurtunity is not a lengthy visitor
- Tights can look good on a long-legged girl
- Nimble hands can gain you plenty of friends
- A massage isn't always the best way to a heart
- Smiling is more attractive than anything else
- A cheerful outlook not only brightens your day, it may brighten others' as well
- The walk to City Park is just as worth the drive
- Never wear winter underarmor when backstage
- Lingering hands and ruffled hair doesn't always mean something
- Some girls will always have all the luck
- The companionship of two gay kids goes beyond social bounds
- Even when the gay boy is a year older, much taller, and well out of your social stratosphere.
- Never become too attached to the things you know will leave you.
- A slotted spoon won't hold much soup, but it can catch a potatoe
- Sometimes the things you most wish for are not to be touched.
- A death-glare look works just as well as harsh words
- Never try to chase a more athletic friend around the theater
- The best times are the quiet times back stage
- Striking the set breaks not only hearts, but finger nails.
- The design of the program is just as important as the wording of the bios.
- Making yourself the center of attention isn't always a bad thing
- Actors will forever think lowly of the crew that made the set, costumes, props...basically everything.
- Hug the seniors extra tight, as this will be their last play season.
- Never forget the good times, but keep in mind the bad as well
- No matter what you do, never go without gafer tape or twine.
- Even in the pitch black of back stage, a bright smile never goes unappreciated.
- Play season friends are always the best of friends. You both know it'll end, so you both make the best of it.
- Even the most popular, most beautiful, and most talented girls will complain about boys and their bodies when in the girl's dressing room
- Little talents never go unappreciated - especially when that talent is massage.
- A whisper carries far better than normal talk
- Think of something to keep you busy after it's over. Or else you may resort to a 5 mile bike ride, and find yourself aching afterward.
- No matter how you try, nothing ever lasts. So make the best of what time you have, and don't forget that this is the last. the end. the farewell, to your senior friends.
I will miss them more than they know.
