Chapter 2

 

"Earth!" I exclaimed looking at my mother like she was crazy. "Yes, im sorry dear but it isnt safe for you to stay here on our planet any longer. Its to dangerous." My mother answered touching my face. Why do i have to be sent away. I dont want to go! I walked away from my mother to the window and looked at the sky. Everything here has its own light glow to it. Everything seems so peaceful.

"Nova, my child. This cant be helped its just what we find best."

"We, you said we. By we im asuming you mean father." I said looking down at the floor. My mother put her hand on my shoulder.

"You know he only wants your safty and with all these, demonds running around its not safe for you to be here."

"And what makes you think it will be any safer on earth!"

"Honey, everything here is dieing. You know that better than any of us. I know you can feel these things. The, demonds are tearing this planet apart, and since we have eternal life and there is no need for us to have children you are the youngest of our kind. Everone wants you to be safe. If we die it will be more like a gift. But you dont have eternal life you havent been alive long enough for us to have the ceramony and your still not old enough. So you will be sent to earth for your safty and when its ok for you to come home I will personally come and get you. It shouldnt be long." My mother explained to me even though i wasnt trying to listen.

Its not like i asked to be who i am or i wanted this faite. I know its for my safty and i know everyone just wants whats best for me. even still i dont want to go. I dont know anyone there. I dont know there customs or the things that live there. I dont know anything about that planet besides that it has a huge popullation and everything there dies. Why would i want to be in a place like that. Why? I feel like im being stabbed right now even though i know thier intentions are good.

I searched the sky for something to say when i noticed a red hole forming in the middle of the clouds.

"Mommy, what is that?" I asked. My mom swiftly yanked me away from the white marble window seal and told me to find my father to say good bye.

"Its here and you have to leave now!" She yelled as i ran through the castle to find my father. He was in the libary as always. He had his favorite book in his hand and set it down as soon as i entered the room. His white gloves almost looked wet, but that was the last thing on my mind.

"Daddy! Mommy said i have to leave now." I said with tears filling my eyes. My dad put his hand on my head.

"There, there your a big girl. You can handle yourself i know youll be fine." He said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

Something was wrong i could feel it. with every move my parents made. i could feel it something just wasnt right. i watched my fathers movements studied them untill my mother grabbed my arm and started to pull me out of the room. Thats when it finally hit me, my father. Why does he reak of death. I can sence it, all over him. I turned my attention to my mother i dont get it from her. Just my dad. In the window behind him something crashed through it.

"DADDY!" I screamed. Thats all i saw before my mother dragged me around the corner put me in a space pod and pushed the button to send me to earth.

Is daddy, dead?
