Aspergers and IA Poem by MadScientistA different take on autismOn the outside I present a normal face; voice and body. In the insides of my fractured mind; I am blind Deaf And unable to read other’s outward façade. Yet I can hear and see reality but warped. My eyes tell all; they are the blue windows to my soul That burns with the intensity of a thousand fires. I have a voice that others can’t interpret In a language only, I can express. Senses turned up to full volume give the world no filter. I am overwhelmed in a glass cage I can’t escape from. My mood fluctuates with accordance to my million miles an hour Train of thought. However, I am aware of other’s passing by. The love Hate And judgment I receive. Maybe earned or not. I am not defined by labels or stereotypes © 2019 MadScientist |
