Mother and Daughter

Mother and Daughter

A Poem by Bryanna - QueenStephni

A night falls
Another fight has ended
Mother and daughter
Clashed again

Day turns to night
And i sit alone
Wondering when
I will be allowed
To make my own mistakes

I wish i had the strength
To ignore her ways
But i respect her
And still need her

Looking at my happy friends
I wonder why
I'm always alone
Then i look at why
And sigh with sadness

I've tried many times
To go my own way
But everytime
She bails me out
Of trouble after she told me
It would happen

Day turns to night
Mother and daughter clash again
here's to another night
Of sitting alone
And comtemplating
Doing my own thing

I know i wont
So does she
But then again
Maybe one day i will

It reads to me like a teenage rebellion sortof poem. I like the clashing ideas of respect and fights, of having friends and still being alone. It's pretty much a depressing poem but I have to admit you've drawn a clear picture of what teenagers normally pass through. It's an interesting poem.

Keep Writing. ^___^
