Chapter #1 - The Journey Begins

A Chapter by Bryanna - QueenStephni

Demascus and Mathieu were the first to awake. They saw each other and the gem necklace around their necks.

“You must be one of the others I’m meant to get along with. I’m Mathieu and you are?” Mathieu said as he sat up and looked around.

“I’m Demascus. Nice to meet you I suppose.” Demascus answered as he looked at what Mathieu was staring at. They both saw a 10-year-old girl lying not to far from them.

“She must be the last member of the trio.” Mathieu said as they walked upto Alexandria. She slowly came round with the boys standing over her. She screamed and tried to stand up. She fell and Demascus caught her and lowered her to the ground gently.

“Stay away from me. You evil demonic creatures.” Alexandria cried.

“It’s alright. Look around our necks and you will see that we are not here to hurt you.” Demascus said, bending down so that she could see the ruby around his neck. Suddenly Alexandria wrapped her arms around his neck and fell asleep in his arms.

“She must be exhausted to fall asleep like that.” Mathieu said as Demascus stood with Alexandria in his arms.

“Where do you think we are meant to go?” Mathieu asked walking towards the woods.

“Wait a sec. I’m not carrying her anywhere. Why don’t we make a camp and catch some sleep. One of us might actually remember something we heard from that voice.” Demascus answered. Mathieu nodded. He went to look for some firewood. When he returned Demascus had fallen asleep against a tree with Alexandria curled up on his lap.

“Damn they look cute together.” Mathieu laughed as he started a fire with his fireball.

Morning fell with Mathieu sleeping beside the dying fire and Demascus and Alexandria still asleep against the tree. Demascus was the first to wake and decided to find and start breakfast.

Alexandria awoke to find only one of the boys is the clearing they were in. she walked over to him and gently shook him.

“Let me sleep a while longer, little sister.” Mathieu said rolling over in his sleep. Alexandria again shook him but harder.

“Ok, ok I’m up.” Mathieu snapped sitting up, he realized that he had snapped at her and started apologizing.

“It’s all right. I expected you to. You know that you called me little sister, don’t you?”  Alexandria said cutely. Mathieu shook his head. Before he spoke Demascus entered the clearing with nothing.

“No wild food anywhere.” Demascus said walking up to them. Alexandria laughed. Smiling she said, “You hungry are you? If you want I could get something for you.”

“How? I just said there was no wild food or eatable vegetation anywhere nearby.” Demascus answered.

“Easy, you already forgot that I’m an Angel and that one of my powers is to summon food when ever I need it. Here have some chicken.” Alexandria said. She then recited an ancient saying and two roasted chicken appeared and three loaves of bread.

“Cool. Thanks…. Ahh what’s your name?” Mathieu asked suddenly.

“Oh it’s Alexandria.” She answered as she tore off a chunk of bread and started eating it.

After they had breakfast they tried to think of where they should be heading.

“Maybe we should head to the source of evil.” Alexandria said, getting up and stretching. The boys nodded.

“And that’s were?” Mathieu said. The other two shrugged. They all thought and thought until Mathieu stood up suddenly with a lot of force.

“If you were evil wouldn’t you live away from the domains you control and your home would be a huge castle. Wouldn’t it?” Mathieu said loudly. Alexandria nodded. She suddenly laughed.

“What’s so funny?” Demascus asked looking around.

Alexandria shook her head and told Demascus that he wouldn’t get it.

They all got up and started for, what they hoped, were the end of the three domains.
