Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Kat Leila

We wait for,
better days,
test results,
red lights to turn green,
plants to bloom,
to get older,
for miracle creams to make us look younger,
for our children to grow up,
to know better,
to heal,
for pots to boil,
for more time,
for time to pass quickly,
for special occasions,
for long nights to end,
for second chances,
to do something with our life,
the opportunity to be loved.

We spend so much time idle, that we only realize after things have passed us by that waiting waits for no one.

the message i get from this poem is instead of waiting we should actually get off our lazy arses and actually do something, for things to happen we have to make them happen, nicely written poem by the way
