To My Lover

To My Lover

A Poem by Kat Leila

It occurs to me as I lay here with you,

that my hands seem to fit yours,

my lips too seem to fit the puzzle of yours.

It dawns on me as we lay together,

tangled in these sheets  enjoying the suns early rays;

that even  though we don’t say it aloud,

even though it may never be uttered by us:

You are in love with ME, and I’M madly in love with YOU.

As two parts we stand unfinished,

together we lay here complete.

Like sun to a flower love can bloom. Intimacy is a fire that brings warmth and love.

Love is miraculous. When two become one - nothing compares.

Nice poem, Kat!

It is a gift when two people come together and connect so seamlessly. When it is true, like this, when it is real and not an illusion, you can stretch that kind of love into another life, another world. This was a beautifully written piece that you can feel was sincere, and real.

Well composed and executed, Kat.

This is a lovely bond. The two seem to have such purpose now that
these observations have been made. You put your heart into this one.
The warm feeling we get as we read along, is proof.

I hear what you are saying here and I applaud you. The trick is to keep that same motivational outlook about him and hope he does the same for you. As the days, weeks, et al, roll by each of you will find out personal things about each other. Some of them may be irritating. The more we know about another person, lover, the more different they become from the person we thought was more or less perfect.
