Million Peices

Million Peices

A Poem by Kat Leila

There is a million little pieces of my soul, and each is desperate to get away.
There is a million little pieces of my soul and I work hard to make each stay.
For what is a life without a breath?
And a dream without a net
To capture it and make it stays
To carry it along your way.
For like a mirror with a crack
Femininity and grace may lack
And yet poise and gentle way
Claim your face and to this... I praise
You.
Never be afraid to smile,
Or laugh or giggle like a pig
Or share, or cry or live.
Dance in the street, and kiss in the rain
Never lose the chance to complain
Or whine, or grouch
Live on a couch, watch TV all day
Play in the hay for childhood comes just once
And likewise we spend our adult days in a busy way
And soon find ourselves old and tired
We don’t care, and its game over.
So seize the moment the opportunity,
To live free and wild, and care little and love much.
This is the day, your day.
What are you waiting for?? Start living.

You are very welcome Kat
Beautifully written, your message rings so true!
The only thing I saw was the plural of stays....To capture it and make it stays...may it stay?
Otherwise wonderful poem!!
