Lexa's LullabyA Poem by C.M. Dakota (Ky)My love is gone. My heart may never recover.
Hush, my baby,
I know you're afraid. Happiness for us, Is not easily made. Hush my lovely, I know you're in pain. I feel it when you cry, I'm drowning in your rain. Don't cry baby, Please don't be scared. Would you still leave, If you knew how much I cared? Don't cry lovely, Though everything hurts. I'll be your rock, For better or for worse. Don't scream baby, The guilt will fade. Just keep ignoring, The mess you've made. Scream, my lovely, And look what you've done. You made your choice, You decided to run. I'll cry baby, For how I feel. You came into my life, And made everything real. I'll cry lovely, For your choices. I only wish, You had hushed these voices. I'll scream baby, Because of your fears. They tore you from me, And left me in tears. I'll scream lovely, Because you believed Fate, When it whispered "Happily Ever After, Is impossible to create." When I break, I won't make a sound. Down I'll go baby, 6 feet under ground. © 2017 C.M. Dakota (Ky)Author's Note
