You remind me of a blanket.
No, really, you are as similar as you can get,

You and a blanket are the same

First, from harsh temperatures, you both protect and comfort me
Both literally and figuratively
Warming me when I'm cold
And letting me cry into you when my thoughts and feelings are loud
Always caring for me with your lovable charms
And like a blanket, I look forward to coming home and cozying up in your arms

Second, you both are like a shield when I'm scared,
Making me forget what I feared.
Giving me a much needed confidence boost, you see
I can face the scary things as long as you're there with me
And that fails, under your protection, I can pretend I'm invisible
Like a blanket, hiding behind you makes me feel invincible.
