Tears of Blood

Tears of Blood

A Poem by Que

Broken he was returned
Bleeding and astray
Left and was abandoned
Blinded and lost his way

A gift to me re-sent
Damaged and torn apart
Shredded and ripped
He was no longer a heart

“What went wrong?”
I started to wonder
“Why the many pieces you come among?
Why won’t you beat any longer?”

He said “There’s no room
No space for me
Which was my doom
For there is nowhere for me to be”

Bitter I patched him up
Hoping he’ll regain his beat
And trying to cheer him up
After losing his seat

Being treated like a dud
Gave him a pang
So with tears of blood
He gave his last bang

But It is my fault
He was easy for me to hand
So I feel like a dolt
As with no heart I now stand
