The Face of Spring

Oh how we wonder

What the future hides

We can't help but ponder

Over the upcoming rides

Who will be the "Other Half"?

How our life would be?

How much would we laugh?

Will we always be happy?

We all have certain thoughts

About our future spouse

All we need is to connect the dots

To finally reach our dream house

Finding a soul mate comes first

The one to be our truss

To satisfy our never ending thirst

The person to complete us

To be of an appropriate age

To be able to reach out to them

To always be on the same page

That would be the perfect stem

Someone on whom we rely

Entrust with what we think and feel

Who's presence we can't deny

Who's willing to share a meal

Someone responsible enough

One to handle a family

Be able to handle what's tough

And deal with things sensibly

Oh i can go on and on

About the person for the ring

But fulfill those and your heart's gone

For they will be the face of spring
