Incomplete

Incomplete

A Poem by Que

We all have that belief
That we are born in pairs
And can only find relief
When we find the one that cares

Raised on it with cartoons
With their "Happily ever after"
Grew in us within our songs
Whether for sadness or laughter

So you're always on the lookout
For that certain soul
That can take you out of your hideout
The one you think will make you whole

You'd think it's a piece of cake
As it is just one
But it's not an easy decision to make
And not a battle easily won

Just one to complete you
One to immerse you with care
Where it would be just you two
And you'll no longer feel despair

That someone is one of a kind
With whom you'll share sadness and delight
The person to whom you're life you'll bind
And you'll never want to let them leave your sight

That person does exist
You just have to look hard enough
For the one you can't resist
Although the search might be rough

Until then you are incomplete
Feeling empty inside
But never accept defeat
For you'll need that someone by your side

It's very nice how Incomplete, and The Face of Spring encounter the same subject, yet each one has a different taste.
My advice to you Que, is to start reading intensively, let the words be the air you breathe, don't let a day pass by without at least thirty minutes of reading.
You are talented in writing poems, invest in your talent, and enrich your vocabulary.

keep writing, and read, a lot.
