Change

Change

A Poem by Que

The gruesome face of change
It that it's inevitable
No matter how strange
It is just inescapable

Some of it is good
But the rest to the worse
You want to stop it if you could
But it's an unavoidable curse

One day you're having fun
The next you're hurt
Just like the rising and setting of the sun
Thing change from rock to dirt

The wind of change is all around
So you can't runaway
Blowing you away is bound
Where you either grow or decay

Just like caterpillars turn to butterflies
Delicious food turns to s**t
A relationship starts and dies
And there's nothing you can do about it

People can not stay the same
That's what life dictates
And there's no one to blame
As the cycle of life just rotates

So don't grow accustomed to being in people's lives
Since they will grow out of yours
You would think that's the way your soul survives
But you'd be surprised of what it endures
