Memory Lane

Memory Lane

A Poem by Que

The stroll down memory lane
Of what was and what is to remain
brings back a whole lot of pain
From what we lost and couldn't sustain
From the people we thought we knew
To the things we no longer do
Through all the good days and the ones we rue
and the moments when time flew
If you just stop and stare
Take a look at where we were
We had something really rare
But now,no one seems to care
Seeing where we are now
Makes me feel a great wow
And wonder what and HOW
Oh Friend Where are thou !!
What is yet to come
What have we ourselves become
Have we truly turned numb
Or was i really dumb
Oh what time has done
To the days when we had fun
We can no longer run
From fate holding a gun
Now we're just a story to be told
About Friendships rusty and old
We are nothing but victims of this world
With nothing left to do but fold
It was good but ended fast
Yet great to have you in my past
Would've loved to make it last
But we're are just part of this life's cast

This has a straightforward message, in an easy rhyme that flows well. Some things fall apart and we never understand why. A sad reality. Nice penning, Que.
