The Lynx

The Lynx

A Poem by Que

Moonlight dances with the breeze
that glitters in the frigid spaces
between those few ancient trees
who have survived in a frozen land.

A ghost passes between the great trunks
as silent as the nocturnal dance
that is seen in the fog of her breath,
gliding though the ocean of snow,
patient for her next prey.

She will walk for days,
ever intent upon survival
in a land that knows no mercy.

This is beautiful! The way your words weaved with each other painted a vivid picture. Love it, great job!
