![]() Mountain ThoughtsA Poem by Que
I walked the world
inside the skin of a beast lost in the wilderness of a mind made of mountains. Peaks reached high like frozen fingers and the roots dug into my spine like the thorns of cold love. The skin around my soul
was thick with winter fur and bristling when amidst prey. Is this a curse, lost in fur? Or does it provide an insight into the mind of the original? I walk the world as a beast
calm in my mountain thoughts and watching my long ago fellows walk upon the earth ill content in their furless skin and broken city minds. © 2009 QueFeatured Review
