Two Halves Together

Two Halves Together

A Poem by Que

In a lifetime passed
there was a love for me,
the purest sort I was sure,
but the folly of his mentality
spun me through the Hell of hells
and left me alone,
and left him alone,
forever burdened by the purest sort.

In a lifetime passed
there was love for you,
the truest sort you were sure,
but the folly of her mentality
spun you through the Hell of hells,
and left you alone,
and left her alone,
forever burdened by the truest sort.

So let there be an agreement
between the two halves that we are
not to be the rebound
of the purest sort,
of the truest sort,
but let us be two halves together.
So the emptiness by our side
isn’t as tangible in our dreams.
So the emptiness in our heart
does not mean disbelief
in the purest sort,
in the truest sort.
So the emptiness of our soul
does not mean disbelief
in Love.
