[of my bones]

[of my bones]

I’d like to reinvent this genome -
this double helix is just a chain to me
wrapped, wrapped, wrapped
around generations and now my hands,
my heart, my flesh - which I love with
ink and edge, but such surface
modifications can’t change
the code of me, the destiny -
quite literally - of my bones

This is why i missed reading your piece my friend, its too deeply woven poetic conjoint. Very well verse...

Perhaps now its not yet possible but eventually in the distant future...

and the bones are much more than just bones---this speaks of the bones of the inner self---who someone really is when you take away all the frills---all the camouflage, all the masks...
