Bones

Bones

Bones

Click, flick, snap "

Clash, thrash, crack "

The flick of a shoulder blade,

Beginning to fade -

The fibrous cartilage itch,

A ropey sinew snitch -

The rib riptide,

To whom you abide -

The cranium king,

The clavicle fling -

Sternum stinging,

Femur ringing "

The bestial groan,

The lust for bone "

The tremendous whip of death,

The mandible’s marrow breath "

The derelict friction,

A mellow crucifixion "

Death,

A lingering conviction,

An unpredictable prediction -

A lifetime eviction,

A swelled affliction -

A timeless constriction,

A sad depiction -

The last bone crack,

Now into the black -

Think back -

Turn back -

Push back -

Take back -

My soul’s locked eyes click as they spring open, discharging the last breath to load a fresh round of spirit into their empty cartridges;

I wait hungrily for the recoil -

Set my spirit alight,

Elude into light,

Actuality,

Sensuality,

Concealed by reality -
