Darkness

I do not know what this is.

We are all tangled in destruction

but destruction is creation

We all have a darkness that lies within,

it would be a lie to say a person is wholly innocent

Tragedy forces its way into everyone’s lives,

some are born with it

I like visiting this place, I don’t quite know why except for the clarity I feel when i’m here, whilst other’s are tangled by it I am set free.

Clarity is hard to come by in a literal world, everything is so certain and extrovert,

what I value most on this earth is moments like this, moments to capture my own soul and question it,it always gives me answers. 

When i’m here I don’t have to be anything or act in any particular way, there is no norm.

Do not believe their lies, do not fall victim, always step back and think, never be afraid to think.

Never think you cannot stem away from what you despise, the hardest part is knowing what you dislike, your biggest battle…

This is really good, I found it a little odd, but real good nonetheless :)
My favourite lines were:

The 'odd' (not exactly odd, but I can't find a better word at the moment) thing about the poem is that at first it's a little musical but then it progresses to being 'more' prose.
But then, maybe that's why I liked it? It's quite different.
Anyway, no idea if this review is making any sense, I'm pretty tired right now.

I like the thoughts and wisdom of your poem. We cannot walk with fear as a motivator. Need the energy of life and no fear to survive in this new world. Thank you for the excellent poem.
