Life's ambiguity

Life's ambiguity

A Poem by Quaddeth
"

Life is somewhat of an uncertainty and definately the phrase "Life doesn't come with a manual" springs to mind.

"

Grow, Grow, Grow

I reap what you sow

Punishment indictment

A tsunami of wasted excitement

Hallucination, Hallucination, Hallucination

Here I stand God’s only son

Self-vindictive-narcissist

On a yellow brick road covered by mist

Author's Note

The poem is regarding my troubles of late with me needing a change and falling victim to society and its unsophisocated humour, the typicality and conformist nature of my friendship group and my wanting to get out.

I reap what you sow - I feel a bit of helplessnes here.
I also love how the yellow brick road that leads to our hearts desires, is misted and possibly unfollowable. Nicely done in a short format.

Very nice vocabulary.
The idea and power behind the poem are strong.
Keep up the masterful work.

Run Dorothy! Run! Emerald City's just a poppy field away. Thank God, these slippers were pinching my feet.

Obviously I loved the last line. It's where the hallucination begins and ends.
Childhood.

Terrific.

really nice. you can feel the cruelty of the words even though they are not so literal. I also loved the flow, it was perfect

Perfectly written... so authentic and draws the cruel reality of the world. A powerful description as " A tsunami of wasted excitement" and "On a yellow brick road covered by mist"...
Go on, bring yourself into the foreground and shine by your own light...

Easy to fall into a pile of control s**t. Better to run on a unknown path. No more yellow brick road lined in gold. Now we must watch our steps and try to stay away from the negative and control people. I like this poem. Remind me of my poetry of my youth. I'm still pissed off. Just more polite. A outstanding poem.
