Can't You See It?A Poem by Quad7Why is differnce so frowned upon? Can’t You See It? Can’t you see it? There is so many, how can’t you see it? Or maybe, you do, and don’t, Accept it. They all line the horizon, All easily deciphered as, Different. Not the same. All different leaves, Branches, Structure. The branches grafted on unalike. The leaves separate hues of lights or darks. Some like cones, or disfigured hands. All divergent from each other, But still a forest. Can’t you see it? There is so many, how can’t you see it? Or maybe, you do, and don’t Accept it. They all crowd the sphere of blue, All simply perceived as, Individuals, Not the same. All different skins, Dialects, Ideas. A mass color of diversity. The humming of different voices. Mind sets of their own. All distinct from each other, But still humans. Can’t you see the difference, And beauty that surrounds, The trees, And us.
