Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

A Poem by Aris
"

This is a song about love that is looked down upon. It's forbidden because people can't see the beauty in it; they see an abomination. Nobody experiences love the way that 2 specific individuals do.

"
[1st Verse]:
Eyes that aren't blind,
Refuse to see.
Mouth wide open,
With an ocean to speak.

Ears deaf to reason,
With a mind shut too tight.
It's us against the world,
And we are ready for the fight.
[Chorus]:
They've got our hands tied
And our feet in chains,
But at the end of the day
Our love still remains.

They try to pull us apart
As we pull together.
We were in love from the start,
We are in love 'til forever.

[2nd Verse]:
Our hearts run fast
As they take aim;
Trying to shoot our love,
Trying to cause us pain.

If they understood how we look at one another,
They would see.
If they understood how happy we make each other,
They would let us be free.

[Chorus]:

[Outro]:

Don't they get it?
Don't they see?
I love you.
You love me.
