LoveA Story by Sunny Raevery short story about dealing with the loss of one that holds your heart most dear, inspired by Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.she stood starring out the window as the snow fell softly on the ground. Wurlling and dancing through the sky before hugging the earth. Her black dress gathered at her feet and her long black hair was twisted into a large bun. A Rose barrette accented her red highlights. She dabbed at her eyes, as the facts settled in, just like the snow had begun to do. Her heart filled with sarrow, as she watched nothing. Her guests mingled down in her lobby, but she was to withdrawn to be the good hostess. A gentleman stood slightly behind her, clearing his throat to let her know of his presence. "Mad'am," he began, approaching slowly to console he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Yes?" " I am sorry for your loss, is there anything you need, don't hesitate to ask." Words she had been hearing since he.... She nodded her understanding, but continued to gaze out the window. As a tear steaked down her cheek. " You know, your husband was a very good friend of mine, he would not have left if he did not need to." "I... kn-know." she choked out. The gentleman nodded and pulled her to face him. " He would want you to continue without him, to continue his mission of living this life you have." "I-I, don't know," she stammered. "We were so intwined... i can't feel anything else... nothing but this pain. that has saturated the well with in my heart of love. There is a whole I never thought I would have again. And right now, it is taking all I have. I can not... will not live another moment like this i..." She shook her head as the tears continued to fall, clollapsing to her knees as the grief flooded her. Clutching her chest, she gasped, trying to gain controll of these emotions. Pushing them all inside, she stood and gathered her dress and ran down the hall, a corridor and seven flights of stairs until she reached the frozen lake where both she and her husband had had so many laughs. She heaved her sarrows as the heart ache overwelmed her. He stood in a bright green grassy meadow. Smiling, and laughing in welcoming her. She was really happy too, though she did not remeber how she got here. But it didnt seem to matter the image was all she needed. She too reached out to take a hold of the open hand he offered. He led her off, heading towards the hill. he placed an arm around her and kissed her on the cheek. Doting his affection for her. THey paused, turning towards eachother, pulling the other close they kissed, as if they had never been seperated. Holding her close, they loved, and started again.
