A poem about addiction. There have been some amazingly gifted women that have died due to this awful affliction and I guess this poem is for them.

Addict

Addict,

Doesn’t want to drink.

Pain,

Of existing.

Blind,

To joy.

A harsh cold breeze chills her.

There is a dark cloud,

In her life.

Many times addicts don't want to be they way they are but can't find the path out of the darkness.
