Chapter Twelve:
Note: AW POOR BABY MOTH, right? Hell no. People be moving on with their s**t. Not exactly doing it in a healthy fashion, but you know, still making ends meet.
April 22:
Ring ring. Ring ring.
(NR) "Hey."
(LH) "Moth's gone missing."
(NR) "Is she okay?"
(LH) "I DON'T KNOW. I HAVE NOT SEE HER. SHE IS MISSING. HENCE, I HAVE NO SEEN OR HEARD OF HER."
(NR) "She... I hope she's okay?"
(LH) "Yeah, that's great. But I'm sure she doesn't need your pity points. Have you seen her?"
(NR) "No. When did she go missing?"
(LH) "I haven't heard from her since the 15th. She was really sad."
(NR) "Oh crap..."
(LH) "What?"
(NR) "I blocked her number. Oh, s**t, this is all my fault."
(LH) "Probably. Since she's, you know, in love with you."
(NR) "I'm not " I " we have to find her."
(LH) "Oh, wow, really? You think? Yeah. We do. Good job. Meet me at her house. I'll text you the address."
(NR) "Okay. I'll be there in 20."
Click.

(NR 9:28 am) "Moth's mom is creepy. She's staring at me. She looks upset."
(LH 9:35 am) "Gee, maybe it's the fact that her daughter just disappeared?"
(NR 9:36 am) "Am I supposed to question her?"
(LH 9:37 am) "Just keep her busy while I search through Moth's room. She'll get mad if she finds out what I'm looking for."
(NR 9:38 am) "What?"
(LH 9:39 am) "DRUGS"
(LH 9:40 am) "I. AM. LOOKING. FOR. DRUGS."
(NR 9:43 am) "I don't think she does drugs."
(LH 9:44 am) "Shut up. You don't know her."
(NR 9:47 am) "No. I don't. You do?"
(LH 9:49 am) "No. No one does."
(NR 9:51 am) "That's what I'm saying. No one really understands anyone. How could they? We're all different people, with different bio-chemical and environmental backgrounds. One person trying to truly understand another is like a plankton trying to understand Jupiter."
(NR 9:52 am) "But what I meant is that she's smart enough not to keep drugs in her house."
(LH 9:53 am) "I'm mad at you."
(NR 9:55 am) "Why?"
(LH 9:57 am) "You're perfect and it bothers me."
(NR 10:00 am) "Are you flirting with me?"
(LH 10:02 am) "You are so not you now. Whatever erased your memory, I want to stab it in the face with a ballpoint pen full of snake venom."
(LH 10:06 am) "No drugs."
(NR 10:08 am) "Told you."
(NR 10:10 am) "Train station. That's where most of the drug people meet, right?"
(LH 10:12 am) "How do you know that?"
(NR 10:14 am) "Small town, loads of gossip, and I'm charming enough to get it."

(NR 10:36 am) "I don't think we should be split up. This feels too much like a horror movie."
(LH 10:38 am) "Congrats to you. You'd actually survive a horror movie... probably."
(NR 10:46 am) "I might've found something. There's $200 tucked away inside this hollow tube thing in a wall."
(LH 10:48 am) "No s**t, Sherlock."
(NR 10:50 am) "It's not very helpful, though, just $200 dollars tucked away. It might not even be hers."
(LH 10:52 am) "Is there a 3rd eye drawn on the person on the bill guy?"
(NR 10:53 am) "Yeah. Does that mean it's hers?"
(LH 10:54 am) "Yeah. It's hers. She likes vandalizing currency. What do we do now?"
(NR 10:56 am) "Drive around and look for her?"
(LH 11:00 am) "Sounds good. First, let's go get coffee."

(NR 12:24 pm,) "I don't get why I have to go outside alone where everything is creepy and you get to sit by the fence."
(LH 12:26 pm) "We're trespassing on private property. Someone's got to explain to the Rangers when they come by what the hell we're doing here."
(NR 12:28 pm) "I thought I saw her car somewhere back here. It's a dark blue Cutlass, right?"
(LH 12:33 pm) "Yeah, dark blue. I'm going to call you."
Ring ring.
(NR) "I don't see a thing."
(LH) "Did you look?"
(NR) "Yeah, I looked."
(LH) "Could have sworn we saw it."
(NR) "*sigh*"
(LH) "..."
(NR) "I see something. It's dark blue " hold " hold on. I'm going to go, check... Yeah, it looks like her car."
(LH) "You found it? Does the license plate begin with a C?"
(NR) "Yeah. She's not here. Not in the car, or anywhere around. I'll check the trunk, just a sec... No, not there either."
(LH) "Where the hell is she, then?"
(NR) "I don't know. Oh, Jesus ""
(LH) "What?"
(NR) "There's a note. Like, on the inside of the dashboard. It says, 'I'm find. Don't panic " Leona probably will, but she's like that. You were being really rude, not answering your phone or anything. Anyways, I'm fine " not that you cared. Don't worry. Just going to Toronto, Canada for awhile.' I am going to KILL her!"
(LH) "Uh... Well, at least she'll be safe in Canada, where the only things that can hurt her are moose, maple syrup, and hockey."
(NR) "Yeah, but why's she going to Canada? Drugs?"
(LH) "Don't they have a drug thing there?"
(NR) "They have a drug thing everywhere. Oh, crap, what are we going to do?"
(LH) "Don't say it?"
(NR) "Don't say what?"
(LH) "What you're think""
(NR) "Road trip ""
(LH) "Oh, no way. I have way to much homework to ""
(NR) "ROAD TRIP!"
(LH) "... Fine."
(NR) "Yes!"

April 23:
(NR 6:37 am) "It's really embarrassing that my mom had to come with us, sorry."
(LH 6:41 am) "No, it's cool. I like her. She sings good road trip songs."
(NR 6:42 am) "No such thing as good road trip songs."
(LH 6:46 am) "Your mom's a terrible driver."
(NR 6:51 am) "I know, right? It's hard to even pretend to be asleep."
(LH 6:53 am) "I don't think she buys that we're asleep for a second."
(NR 6:55 am) "I don't think she does either."
(LH 6:57 am) "Are we in Canada yet?"
(NR 6:57 am) "I think so. Either we are, or the incredibly large sign that says 'Viva la Canada' on it is lying."
(LH 7:01 am) "Hm. We should stop and get lunch. Do they have McDonald's here?"
(NR 7:02 am) "I just realized what an American thing that is to say."
(LH 7:05 am) "Hungry."
(NR 7:10 am) "My poor mom must be exhausted. Can you drive? I can't really do it without crashing. I can crash into things really well."
(LH 7:13 am) "Your mom seems pretty cool with randomly taking us to Canada for a few days to find our drug addict friend."
(NR 7:15 am) "Yeah, she's chill. I just looked out the window; it's raining packing peanuts. I think we have a problem."
(LH 7:17 am) "That's snow."
(NR 7:19 am) "Oh, s**t, snow! I have only once heard if this mythical terrifying beast! We're screwed. We're so screwed. Just infinitely screwed."
